Golf Club Gym

Indoor gym facility designed alongside a high-end residential development in the Green Belt, within a Grade II listed historic estate dating back to the 11th century and now operating as a golf club.

Located beside the 16th-century manor house, the gym adopts a minimalist contemporary language that matches the historic buildings in scale, quality and materials while remaining respectful and subdued.

The building is semi-recessed into the ground: the upper portion forms a single-storey volume with a pitched skylight echoing the existing swimming pool, while the glazed façade of the lower level, facing a landscaped lightwell, remains virtually invisible in the wider setting.
