Glenmore Road House

Refurbishment and basement extension of a ground-floor flat in a converted Victorian house.

The existing small cellar was excavated and extended into a full basement, creating a three-bedroom maisonette with a striking two-level living/dining space. A double-height rear opening brings light deep into the interior, with the garden excavated to connect seamlessly to the lower-ground floor.

The kitchen features a 4-metre skylight along its full length, while the deliberately understated rear façade, with slim double-height glazing, preserves the character of the building when viewed from neighbouring properties.
