Brompton Square House

Full refurbishment of a Grade II listed building, including the replacement of rear extensions.

We took over the project from another team who had spent two years unsuccessfully trying to secure approval with RBKC. Working closely with the officers, we developed replacement extensions that met the client’s aspirations while being far more in keeping with the host building and the listed terrace.

The new footprint, height and internal layout create a more usable space and rationalise the rear elevation. The form re-establishes the rhythm of the adjoining properties and takes its cues from the massing and character of the terrace.
